bio-metric testing

Movement and biometric testing are a key part of Personal Training Sessions when working with the general public. Mobility sessions and flexibility sessions are all part of the first stage of movement, without movement the body cannot complete tasks or exercises needed in this phase. Movement is principle to reduce chances of injury and is our primary role when doing strength and conditioning with athletes. This takes priority above all, if you have a bigger foundation that has the range of movement that you need later when working for strength and muscle you will increase with more size and strength, this is key for any programme.

A biometric screening is a fancy name for a collection of your vital statistics, This type of screening typically measures your BMI, blood pressure, cholesterol levels, and blood sugar. Full blood tests would be helpful at hand for your initial Personal Training consultation in Epsom, however if you would like to book a test with myself for your blood sugar, cholesterol, triglyceride and lactate blood reading and full point body fat test then there is a contact form at the bottom of the page.

Our bodies are an incredibly complex interconnected web of muscles, joints, fascia, ligaments, bones, tendons, other tissues and organs that work together seamlessly. When we are lean and fit, every cubic centimetre of our bodies has a purpose and function to help us survive and thrive.

The Gomez Performance method focuses on movement patterns, not muscle groups, when exercising to develop a functionally strong body. At its absolute core, exercise is all about movement. You will learn the basic, primal movement patterns that form the foundation of the workouts & exercise programs we develop. These basic movements include Squats, Lunges, Push, Pull, Bend, Twist and Gait Combination.

Testing is something the world has now come to terms with, with the COVID-19 pandemic the world is constalty testing to see if their results come up clear!

Overview of Testing for SARS-CoV-2 (COVID-19) | CDC

so, how should we implement this to training, well exactly the same, we should be bio-metric testing ourselves every month, to see where we are at. In transformation projects testing can occur more frequent.

What adjustments can we make if we bio-metric test monthly/yearly?

  1. Change eating habits
  2. Reduce risk of serious illness
  3. Increase immune response
  4. Perform better (physically and mentally)
  5. Adjust your training plan based on results (ADD HRV testing on a regular basis)
Summary

Even though these results can not be used for clinical diagnoses, these results do give an idea on what you are failing to do in your lifestyle. The aim of testing is to be able to give us a more in depth idea on what is going on in the body.

In your consultation with me, you will be sent an excel spreadsheet with a questionnaire, you will then have advice based on your questionnaire on what supplementation and nutrition you should implement. On our first meeting, we will do full body measurements and calliper testing to understand and feel possible inflammation which needs to be the primary fix before we undergo any goal.

Front side and back pictures need to be updated weekly (I do need photos if you do not feel comfortable, but online coaching you will have to supply photos). A training plan will be supplied and you will be run through the workout plan.

Bio-metric testing is done weekly to ensure that we have the best on going anayltics for fast results. This will include photos, calipers and tape measurements.
