Strength and conditioning in the gym is the best way to improve mental strength. The challenging exercises of an olympic lift and all the regresive exercises that lead to a clean and jerk or snatch are challeging, fun and keep your mind focused. 

I have always been involded in one to one combat sports, and lets face it, what better way to keep focus than someone trying to punch your in the face or choke you out!
